Description
If you were part of the Roman auxillary infantry or cavalry during the later part of the Imperial history, you would have most likely carried the Roman Parma Shield. This round shield was used by the Roman army. Modeled after its original design, this piece features poplar wood construction with a brass boss and brass edging. It is enhanced by a painted linen covered front. On the reverse side is a wooden bar grip that will ensure easy carrying. With historically authentic design, this shield is great for costumes, re-enactments, and display.
Please Note: The shield ships with the shield boss unmounted, so some assembly is required. Mounting hardware is included. Being hand painted, the precise hue of the shield colors can vary.
