Roman belt in brown leather for a Roman general with full skirt, manually assembled by our artisans and made in high quality bovine leather strips of brown leather 3.5cm wide, at two heights of 25 and 35 cm and adorned by studs in antique gold color on the ends. The Roman belt itself is composed of two pieces riveted together, is 4cm wide and fastens with a matching gold buckle.

The cingulum or Roman belt was a piece used in Ancient Rome to hold the garments. The cingulum militare was the belt of the Roman army, a way to differentiate from the people of Rome when the soldiers did not wear the uniform or armor, later the belt probably gained its importance due to its function as the belt of the gladius.

It is a Roman complement of craftsmanship that we offer you that can be worn with a basic tunic as a soldier in rest season as with the set of the lorica to go ready for battle.

The pieces of brown leather that make up this Roman belt are hand dyed in our workshops, so there will be differences in the treatment of aging in each piece. If the exact color of the leather is important for your historical reenactment costume, please contact us to know the shade of the current stock of the product.
