Description
Conical helmet of Greek origin that reproduces the features of a type of widespread cap. It appeared in the 5th century BC, finding widespread use among the Spartans, subsequently used by the Sacred Theban Battalion and then by the Hellenistic armies. At the same time it spread widely also in Magna Graecia.
