Description
Reproduction of Olmutz helmet (Czech Republic) 11th century. This type of helmets, although commonly known as “Norman helmets” between the tenth and twelfth centuries, were widespread throughout the European and Mediterranean world; also documented in the Eastern Roman world of the period through iconographic sources and findings from private collections.
Mild steel 2 mm, nasal 5 mm; internal padding in cotton, leather chin strap.
