Description
Reproduction of a type of helmet found at Intercisa, now Dunaùjvàros (Hungary) 3rd-4th century CE.
The conventional name with which these finds are identified derives from the place of the first discovery in 1909. Perhaps initially appeared during the Dacian campaigns, the composite helmets were established around the middle of the III century AD. Perhaps inspired by oriental helmets. They can have decorations engraved or in relief on the shell: crosses, eyes.
