Description

Late Roman ridge helmet, 4th-5th century CE.
The skull is composed by four metal parts, linked between each other by the central ridge and by two lateral riveted bands. This variant of the Burgh Castle helmet doesn’t have ear holes, making it more similar to the Deurne and Concesti types.
