Description
Typically Italic helmet, derived from the Corinthian helmet, which reproduces the appearance but not the functionality, being intended to be worn on the head without covering the face. Widespread in various types from the 6th century B.C. up to the 1st century AD, it was strongly associated with Italic warrior-heroic iconography.
