For any valiant knight on horseback, the sabatons, or foot armor, were an essential piece of equipment. Our well-crafted medieval sabatons, when securely fastened over your shoes, will ensure that your feet are well-protected during even the most challenging skirmishes and battles. With 18 gauge MILD STEEL plates/lames riveted together in a smartly articulated manner, these sabatons enhance mobility and protection. These fasten with a (3.5 mm thick) GENUINE LEATHER strap and an iron buckle.
Each is about 36.5 cm long and about 11.5 cm wide. The maximum shoe size for these sabatons is 44 EU, 11 US, and 10 UK. For more details, refer to the size chart attached with the images. This pair of sabatons weighs about 1 Kg 550 grams. With an additional supportive strap right below each pair, makes room for a more comfortable experience when worn. The historically inspired design of the tapered ends makes them look perfect for historically re-enacting a late medieval knightly character.
Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
