the Crusader Eagle Shield is truly magnificent. Intricately hand painted with a powerful eagle, this is a historically accurate reproduction of the heater shields used during the Middle Ages. It has a triangular shape with rounded sides and a flat top. This Medieval Heater shield is constructed from Poplar wood; it is reinforced with a overlaid linen binding and hand-painted. The back of the shield has a set of riveted leather straps for wearing it on the arm – it also has a longer strap for wearing the shield over the shoulder. It is finished with a padded leather pad to cushion the arm against impacts.
